You don't need any previous knowledge of NLP or EI to make your attendance worthwhile, just be interested.

13 April - Build Your Strengths-Based Strategic Plan in Just 2 Hours! with Andy Smith
Note this meeting is a week later than usual to allow for the Easter holiday!
It's a commonplace in business and personal development circles that "failing to plan is planning to fail". We all know that if we don't develop our strategy for the future, we are at the mercy of events and outside forces. But do you actually put this belief into practice?
Have you put off developing a strategic plan for your life or your business because you're too busy? Or perhaps (you may admit to yourself, if no-one else) because it's too scary? A lot of people do.
In large organisations it can be even worse. Has planning in your organisation become a ritual in which people go through the motions but never really engage with it? Is the end product a 'strategic plan' several hundred pages long that no-one actually reads?
In this session, Andy Smith will guide you through the SOAR model (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results). This is a more engaging alternative to the traditional SWOT model (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). SOAR avoids the dangers of 'analysis paralysis' and demoralisation - instead it promotes engagement, buy-in and energy.
By the end of the evening, if you choose, you will have created a high-level strategic plan for yourself, your team, or your business. This could be your most valuable investment of two hours ever!
So - be prepared to do some serious work and get some serious benefits! Remember there is a 20% discount when you book 5 places, so why not bring your whole team?
Andy Smith is an Appreciative Inquiry facilitator, NLP trainer, and organiser of the Manchester Business NLP and Emotional Intelligence Group.

1 June - Trains of Thought - Bev Holden and Kate Hargreaves
“Many highly intelligent people are bad thinkers. Intelligence is like the horsepower of a car. A powerful car has the potential to drive at speed, but you can have a powerful car and drive it badly. Thinking is the driving skill with which each individual drives his or her intelligence.” - Edward De Bono
In the hurly burly of everyday life one of our biggest challenges can be finding the time and the space to think clearly. If thinking time is so scarce then it’s all the more important to get every ounce of value out of the thinking time that we do have available to us. Trains of Thought will show you how to create the perfect “thinking space” anytime and anywhere, blocking out distractions and encouraging quality of thinking and clarity of thought in very practical ways.
Kate Hargreaves and Bev Holden are the Clear Thinking Partnership. They’ve been a successful partnership for many years both in the corporate environment and more recently in their own business venture. Their practical experience in the retail and service sectors, leading a wide range of teams to achieve great results, combined with their technical expertise in people development has equipped them to help others to develop their people for success. Changing the way people think is at the heart of Bev & Kate’s work with organisations, teams and individuals.

5 October - Go Beyond Goals! with Kate Trafford and Tiffany Kay

Have you ever set a goal (or even a “well-formed outcome”!) and not gone on to achieve the results you wanted? Do you sometimes feel like you are working against yourself, taking one step forward and two steps back? Are you tired of the struggle and ready to experience greater ease and fun in your life, whilst achieving at a significantly higher level?! If so, come along to our October meeting which sees the welcome return of Kate Trafford and Tiffany Kay of Go Beyond NLP, as they share with us the how to “Go Beyond Goals!”
Kate and Tif are Certified Trainers of NLP and of Advanced Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy, and have been supporting business clients for over 10 years. They are passionate about sharing the secrets of effortless success, and in this enjoyable and interactive session, you will discover;

Why traditional goal-setting doesn’t always work – and what does.
-
How to create a compelling vision for your future success, and how to work with others to achieve the same for your team and organisation as a whole.
-
The crucial role played by your emotions – what they are really telling you and why they’re important.
- How to make progress and build momentum even when uncertainty about the future undermines traditional planning processes.
You will even have the opportunity (if you choose) to experience a deeply relaxing and inspiring guided visualisation, and set yourself up for effortless success and authentic alignment, so that you can bring your true qualities and unique talents to work every day!
